Unofficially named "The Wasp" This ex-Ministry of Defence railcar, built by Baguley-Drewry, arrived on 21 May 2008 and is currently on loan to the W&LLR.

It has a Perkins 4 cylinder diesel engine with a fluid flywheel, mechanical drive to all four wheels and air brakes.

As originally built the vehicle was standard gauge and has been temporarily been converted to 2' 6" gauge
